Noticed a funny knocking sound coming from the front of Evil Bus this week, plus the steering occasionally felt a bit vague. So with the MOT due up in a few weeks, I thought I should investigate...
Turns out the top nut on the offside strut was loose... very loose! I never bothered rechecking them post-lowering after it had settled. The knocking was the top cap wobbling & bouncing around on the shaft.
Knocking has now ceased and the bus handles a lot nicer now the strut isn't wobbling about in it's orifice when I go round corners
What daft mechanical faux pas have you done which potentially could have had a sticky ending??
