Is it true that they have two cats? one coming off the turbo and one in the exhaust? If so whats the best way to decat the car? thanks Dean

Yes, the first one is called the "precat" you can buy a precat removal pipe from most the major vauxhall tuning companies (Regal etc.)

As for the main one, im not too sure how to remove that one, as no-one sells the decat for it, ive heard that it can mess up the ECU

If you want rid of the main cat too (like mine) then get down to powerflow and they'll make you a proper de-cat pipe so you can bolt the main cat in just for you MOT...

Do you notice much of a difference in speed and sound when you decat the precat? And does it still go through the mot?

precat is not MOT testable so u can decat that no worries

for such a cheap mod (about £125 these days) its a mod every turbo owner should do.

Do it and youll notice the difference

Personally I just have a sports cat in place of the original cat - all the benefits of a performance cat without the headache of knowing the emissions are too high and would fail an MOT/roadside test etc...

    bolt on and forget

Yeah I know what you mean about the main cat but oh well if it happens it happens, you get more bhp off a 000 cpi cat though lol....
