    Learning to ride a motorcycle

Ok daft question but I got my full car licence in 99 and I'm now 28 and want to learn how to ride a motorbike.
Simple question but, how do I do that in somerset?
I'm like a bad penny, old, dirty, and appears when not wanted.

im not sure about somerset but rite now u could ride up to a 125cc bike with l-plates no motorway ridin or pillions tho.

u can go for a direct access course probably between 4-500 pounds that includes test n theory u will learn on a 125 then do a few lessons on a 500 n sit ur test on a 500 once passed can ride any size of bike u want. hope this helps.

Bye bye VXR Castle Combe Edition - because it's done more laps of Castle Combe than most Bergs have of the Ring

Yeah i know it's only 15 minutes extra off road riding and not actually any harder, but all it's done so far is **** the system up. It's also more expensive and will be harder to get a test due to the limited centres as the facilities arent available. And what use is doing an emergency stop in unrealistic conditions? People don't get in the right frame of mind whenthey know what they're doing isn't real.

You can do your CBT which costs £90 from Taunton school of motoring, this will allow you to ride a 125cc for 2 years which gives you enough time to pass your motorbike test.
