fitting an extra oil pressure sensor on a y20dth - where?

is there any blinded holes in the engineblock i can use for an extra oil pressure sensor?

OR, is there any oil pressure sensor with outlets for both an oil pressure gauge and the original instrument idiot light?

The sensor is to the left of the turbo oil feed pipe. There is a wire coming from it.

Some oil pressure gauges come with a T piece so you can still use the instrument light.

an oil pressure sensor senses the pressure of the oil in the engine. if there is no pressure, your engine will seaze up.

the instrument warning light is red and you will find it in below your speedo, it is a picture of an oil... hmm.. dont know the word, the thing they had oil in in the old days. :P

I am interested to know why you would want a light and a guage? It would be liking to wearing a belt and braces, one making the other redundant.

if the engine looses oil pressure a warning light would be preferrable, because every tiny second counts and a red warning light below the speedo is easier to see than a needle dropping in the centre console.

even though all cars have fuelgauges, most of them also have a warning light when youre about to run out of fuel. slow movements on gauges is not as noticable as warning lights.

No problem, you will get used to it as you will be scaning that dash with the reactions of a cat, a high spec vehicle needs high speed reactions.
