    Question Drilling the airbox??

    hey,
iv heard a few people talking about drilling holes in the airbox to give a deeper induction noise without a cone filter..
just wondering if it works or is just has to many draw backs??
    thanks

Draw backs are mainly heat soak and kind of defeats the purpose of having it enclosed.

But yeah it does make it sound nicer, I done it to my old mk3.

also a drilled air box short circuits the resonator and the resonator helps induct more air in the intake cycle

You cant have the best on both worlds on this! With or without it seems.

You could make a heat shiled for the cone!
