    Unhappy dashboard vibration

Hi has anyone got an Astra G dashboard out of their car at the moment ? and wouldn't mind taking a few pics of it for me , The reason I ask is I need to see how the windscreen air ducts are attached to it , As ive got the most anoying vibration coming from them which stops when a little presure is aplied to them , I'd rather not have to take the dash out if I can help it so any pics or info would be much apreciated folks

i've moved this to the interior section to get the best response,

both my old astra G's used to have a rattle every now and again on the dash where the vent part attaches to the main dash, same as you say apply a little pressure and would be ok for a while, i always assumed the actual separate panel that surrounded the vents was glued to the main part an would loosen?

    probably wrong though?

Ok Andy thanks for moving it , do you mean the slatted cover on top of the dash ? as I've uncliped this and found its the actual airducts that are vibrating , hopefully someone will have some pics or an easy solution

This does seem to be a comon fault I had hoped that removing the cover it would stopped the vibration ,Nothing in life can be that simple lol ,I've had a look on a few other forums loads of questions regarding the same vibration/rattle but no solutions , So here's hoping some folks on here will have some pics or a solution

    I've owned 3 MK4's, 1.6, 1.8 and the Coupe.
All three had / have this vibration too.
I know that pressing against the padding between the glove box and your centre console stops it while you press on it.

That's got to be one place I haven't pressed pushed or kicked lol , I think I'm going bit the bullet and take the dash out ,and sound proof the bulkhead at the same time with some E dead or something similar ,If I find what the cause of this vibration is I will post the solution of how it can be fixed

I also have this vibrating. I find a firm "clout" on the top of the centre console does the trick. Stopped it for the last week or 2 with mine anyway. lol

my noise was caused by removing the plastic thingy that holds the original cd player when fitting an aftermarket one
replacing it fixed the noise .
