RANT: more scratches and damaged petrol cover

Went to fill up today, and noticed some new scratches which look like they are from a cat! with some tcut and polish I think they will fade away quite a lot but still not happy probably my cat as well.

Also looks like someone has had a screwdriver to my petrol cover, look at the top of it there is a chip in the paint.
Now the cover is slightly bent so its not sealed like it usually would be.
Might have to look into buying a locking petrol cap now grr

There are loads of cats round here, but im pretty sure its my cat! and when the cat can spread its paws so guessing thats how the top one happened.

Might take a trip down to halfords and have a look. Think its a good investment for everyone as the standard astra lock is crap IMO

Bad news with the scratches , But as far as a locking cap are you sure you need to as the Astra like almost all cars now have a anti-syphon trap in the filler neck

Cats used to scratch the old car, not the Astra though. Even though the petrol cap cover locks on the Astra i replace the cap to the tank with a locking one, all the fuel thefts going on.

I know it will never stop them because they wasnt something they will get it but it makes things a little harder.

yuor cat must have massive paws!

for the fuel cap tbh if someone wants to take your petrol and brake through the car, could just make a whole in the tank, no way of stopping them tbh
