Vauxhall claim to put a new one in and 4 days later it has corroded again!

They wanting £485 to replace it although its under warranty but because it has already been replaced once they won't do it again.

ally will oxidide with oxygen overtime but generally HP pipes and most items used in the enginebay will be oxy-treated so wont corrode.

personally id kick off at the sales/service department. Dont pay for the repair if i was you, it certainly wasnt done when the car was in the last time (unless its a different pipe that they are saying has gone?)

no chance of them going in that time,as a plating company we plate deal with a lot of those and they get chromic acid anodised, very high wear and corosion resistant coating
