Number plate lights could be linked to your other problem which would point towards a faulty light switch but then one of the rear side lights would be out too.

Maybe a common earthing problem at the back? I take ita ll bulbs and fuses are intact?

i dont know if they ar all intact. take it if one of them wasnt working then all wouldnt work?

If its any help my brake lights have just gone where as the reverse and number plate went a while a go.

    Whats an earthing problem?

Would i be better handng the car to a Auto Electrician? How much would i expect to pay?

    Thanks

hmmm either a mass bulb failage, Earthing issue or just a dickky connection on that cluster (assuming they are all the same side)

No if one doesn't work because of a blown bulb the others would still work. They could all be switches/ blubs/fuses. Earthing problem is when the bulb gets a live but not a earth

You probably will be better going to a autoelectrician. Can only say that we charge £50 a hour and would expect to have a idea on whats wrong with it within the first hour
