Insurance companies will always try it on, I get it every year, not only with car insurance, but with house insurance as well, pays to shop around.

Its northern ireland insurance is very high here, AA were the cheapest, other companies quoting closer to £4k and some at £6k.

18 on a 1.8 is gonna be pretty high but i didn't think the price was too bad, cheapest i could get a 1.2 corsa insured for was about £2800 so it wasnt that much more for the 1.8 and i got the 1.8 very cheap from a friend so saved about £500 on it.

Also that was in my own name and fully comp, i wasnt gonna drive about illegally with the car in my mums name like most people do.

Yup, the few insurers that cover N. Ireland do like to take down your pants and give you a hard, dry rogering, especially if you're below 30 years old.

I paid £2200 for my first insurance on a 1.1 106 (group 1 insurance!) when I was 24 over here.
