    bump strips

how are the plastic side bump strips attached to the body?

i think im going to remove them and make the sides flush as on my coupe, theyve been colour coded but as its red, its starting to fade.

anyone got any pics of this as im sure its already been done?

They have holes behind them as they sort of clip on to the doors. Some, I think, 5 doors also have screw attachments from behind the door cards.

Haven't had too many dealings with bump strips, just what I've picked up from the site. I'm sure someone in the know will be along to give a difinitive answer.

yep there are holes where the strip clips into the bodywork, you would need to have them welded and paint the entire car sides if you removed them.

thanks guys. i wasnt sure if there would be holes or pins sticking out from the doors.

ill look into this, get a price, and put it on my 'to do' list. that way when i get a few things done, i can get them all done together

    thanks
