None of them, the Vectra C intake pipe mod and derestricting the airbox generally works better as you get less heat soak from the engine bay which can lower performance with the induction kits. £15 or so from Vauxhall for the parts listed in the HowTo in the Technical Guides section.

    Moved to the correct forum,

I answered this a couple of days ago - Like NRY said, a cone filter will suffer from heat soak

The induction kit sucks in hot air from the engine bay, whereas the airbox sucks in air from a pipe leading up to the grill.

Hot air is less dense than cold air, so technically you will be sucking in less oxygen using an induction kit, leading to a small drop in performance

As above. The induction kit on the 1600 16v's is not advised by most here as the engine runs pretty hot - the induction kit sucks in the hot air from around the engine bay and hot air is less dense so gives less power than the colder air drawn in by the original airbox. Derestricting the airbox, adding a Vectra intake pipe (much larger than the original Astra one) and perhaps adding a panel filter (e.g. K&N, ITG etc) gives a comparable improvement.

or get an inclosed induction kit. there was a thread on here about one on ebay for around 70-80 quid. most others will be well over 150 quid though
