    Tyre Recommendations????

Tyres need replacing soon. Just wanting to no what other people have got. Am running Toyos T1R at the moment.

Thinking of maybe Avon zz3 if they are any good.

Im in the same boat, mine need changing soon too.

I had Eagle F1's on my old Mk4 and thought they were very good and am considering them again, also had Toyo's and found them to be very similar to the F1's to be honest.

Since it's relevant to the tyre size, what sort of price do you start to get half-decent 17" tyres at? 'If' I opt for some 17's in the near future am I looking to pay more than the ~£60 I pay per tyre now? (currently running Toyo Proxes CF-1's).

Michelin Pilot Exalto's just now and they are very good. Would also consider Uniroyal Rainsports as they are meant to be the best in the wet, full stop.

I have the avon zz3 on my car atm and they grip very well, in braking and cornering, i had a moment lately were i had to slam my brakes on and it felt like hitting a wall, no idea how long they will last only done about 5k in them so far so only time will tell, also no idea how much they cost as i got them with my wheels.

Kev, I'll be getting 2x ZZ3 this week as my fronts are dead (Toyos and the others are just far too sticky for me) especially as i have the TC off 99% of the time lol

had them with my old engine and even tho more than half the power of the LET I'll still be getting them again

excellent performance in wet n dry and for £130 delivered for the pair u cant go wrong.

just had dunlop fast response (same as goodyear NCT5s) tyres fitted to mine and gotta say they still handle really well in the wet and dry. better that the T1s's that i used 2 have on my old car.

it depends on how many miles u do and how fast u want to eat the tyres as toyo compound is really soft
