to remove simply use white spirit and or thinners it is hard to remove once dry, but it does come off with a bit of elbow grease, if done taking time and been patient, then it will be fine, just remember, Long thin coats, the first few layers you wont notice a difference in colour, but dont keep spraying in thick layers as it will just mess up, i did mine and did around 15 thin layers

If you dont put as many layers on could you get them to look like the later factory smoked lights, not sure that blacked out ones would look as good as just smoked.

mine are fully blacked out, IMO looks a bit daft with the reflective strip left un-painted, but, be warned, may fail MOT if the reflective strip doesnt reflect once tinted, ive got a spare set of lights, so im alright, just change em over for MOT

but don't the police ever pull you over?
what would happen say... for example...
i bought a can, completely sprayed it black after applying all the layers, and not have the reflective strip, jsut spray over it

what would happen if the police pulled me?
would i get points? fine? warning?

i believe they will ask you to make sure its showing in future but to be honest id put tape over it to be on the safe side, it may stand out like a sore thumb but at least you wont get pulled for it, just dont make the tints too dark.

also as said before dont go over with thick layers, i found out the hard way as it will dribble and once dry, feel like sand paper. what i done was go over with about 10 layers or so, wait for the paint to dry then go over with 2 layers of laquer, this will give them a bit of shine and will also feel really smooth. why not try tinting them red? i did mine and it looks awesome! not many people have tried this but it will definately stand out!!

Painted mine with Ixell "noir Ledger" 10% the strength of normal black paint

    Didnt tape the reflector though.

I tried the canned tint first, it made a mess imo - didnt look right.
