    Bad Astra Handling

Ok so i've heard everyone saying about the astra's bad handling

and i never noticed it until my car was in the garage and i was in my mates car

one drives a focus, the other an MG ZS
after gettin back in my own car i noticed that the handling is nothing like theres

    My car is standard (SXi)

What are the best things to do?

Such as anti-roll bars? (what do these do exactly?)
change of tires? (What do you recomend?)
    Lowering? (does this improve handling?)

lower with some 30/40 springs, white line anti roll bar (theres a group buy going on) anti roll bars reduce the body roll (expect a proper explanation from someone else soon)

I've noticed on cornering mine isn't quite the as good as others I've been in, meaning the car seems to really lean alot into corners. I've drove a focus that seemed better a seat leon.... but I was expecting better cornering from that and even the astra mk5 does as well.
    Kind Regards,

    Dean

i find the mg zr/zs handle really really well, but would you rather a piece of crap thats head gasket would go pop after a few seconds at 5000 rpm lol

the focus is a good handling car too, but i find my astra holds the road brilliantly, but isnt good at very fast corners. only quick corners if you get me

i would like to get an anti roll bar though

also my pathetic budget tyres at the back really dont help but my front goodyear eagle f1s help a lot lol

Springs, the rear anti roll bar, and lower profile tyres. Iv just put some new wheels on, 215/40/17 on gsi alloys, its much flatter threw corners, not massivly, but feels different, my previous tyers were, 50/16 i think, but there were much more bouncy,
    Had a Astra SRI 2.0i 1999, now have a 1994 VW Golf GL 1.8, £460 bargin!

cheapest and quickest mod is to change all the bushes for uprated ones. If you have loads of dosh go for a full suspension setup
