I was out shopping yesterday and saw some kid dangling his foot over the end of an esculator.
Eventually one of the laces from his trainer got caught and the kid got trapped. Some on e hit the stop button and he got himself free, amidst the tears and squealing (he thought he was a gonner I think!).
I was expecting a taurent of abuse from his mother towards the staff saying how unsafe the esculator was (not that they can be made 100% safe if people don't use them correctly), but no, she tore a strip off the child for doing what he was and apologised to the staff for the inconvenience he'd caused them!
When I was little the same would have happened and it's good to see that, for once, common scence prevailed.
