still trying to track down a f17 gearbox its a slow process and might just end up buying a reconditioned one because by the time ive found one i would have been paid again lol anyway.
whilst the box is off is it worth changing the clutch? it doesnt feel like its slipping but was recommened by a mate of mine who works for national that whilst its off might as well get it changed saves the labour in the furture.
its a 2001 1.4 16v and has 80k on the clock. what do you reckon? and if the answer is yes what about a preformance clutch? will i notice a difference between a preformacne one and a normal one?
if so can you point me in the right direction of a good place i can buy a preformance or sports clutch from
