    Smart Wax Products?

me and the misses went to the national hot rod and custom show today and there was a smartwax rep there selling and demonstrating their products.

they had a nice shiny rod as their demonstation car and was wondering if anyone had used / recommend these products.

bottle of shampoo, wax, sealant and microfibre cloth for 40. good deal?

Truthfully, I've never heard of them... although they seem to have a pretty complete range on their website.

jcastraDTi should remember this well. They had a rep at the SW Motor Show a few months back, when I started commenting on thye bullshit advice the rep was giving someone, the guy blanked me and wouldn't engage me.

Not worth the paper to print the labels IMO. From what I read on the labels, they all seem to be QD type products and their wax has less carnauba than my carpet.

i took a sample of it all home with me for free so ill try it out anyway.
people over on Detailing world seemed to like the rimwax and used the sealant so we shall see.

according to the wax bottle its 100% carnauba wax so either their packaging lies or they have changed since u used it last

oh and owned / packaged by chem boys or summet

No they were marketing it as 100% Carnauba back then too. If it was 100% carnauba then it would just be a solid block of the stuff. If you read the small print it says '100% Carnauba enhanced'. When I pointed this out, that's when the demo muppet got funny with me. The highest carnauba content of any wax available IIRC is Crystal Rock at 76%

From the swissvax website; With 76% by wax volume of pure Brazilian ivory carnauba wax, Paul Dalton's Crystal Rock State of the Art wax has one of the highest Carnauba content of any wax on the market

i thought id use the trial products today and gotta say came out quite nicely.

quick question: is a sealant meant to be harder to apply than the wax or was it just my arm aching after washing and waxing?

will see how long it last and if its anygood

I've always forund sealants harder to work with than waxes, which is why I orefer waxes tbh.

Keep us posted as to how long it lasts, my bet is 3 weeks.
