    Question Bit of a MK3 techy Q :D

Hmm. My MFD clock thing is knackered, but I want to know if I can replace mine with one that has the temperature, date and time on it. (My old one was just had time/date all in the same section).

I've bought a replacement anyway Surely I can hook up the sensor for temp in my engine bay?

I always thought they all had temp on it, your old one didn't just show -- on it?

Outside temp sensor is mounted in the bottom left corner of the bumper, might be worth checking to see if you have one there

Nah Autosparks. Mine just had the date and time on it. The crystal display didn't have sections it was just long one. I have a few empty connectors in the engine bay, can I purchase a temp sensor? Either way my MFD is knackered and I've ordered one of the three section ones i mentioned.

Temp sensors can be got from vauxhall easy enough. I believe the sensor was on the end of a long piece of wire and connector that went up behind the passenger headlight. Been 5 years since I had a MK3

No idea if the displays used the same connector also

Right, I put it in today and it works fine. Woop! My temperature bit is just reading --.- though. Dunno whether to bother finding a sensor or not. £10? £20?
