    MOT and indicators

Just a quick one does anyone know what the rules and regs are for front indicators (not side ones) for an MOT. IE is there any specified height, distance apart, amount of light emited, how viable do they need to be etc etc

any gen would be great cheers

From what I've read, they cannot interfere with each other (ie: fitted to either side of the front of the car), they have to flash amber, and there has to be a audible OR flashing telltale for the driver. No mention is made of height, but they'd have to be fixed to the car somewhere I suppose

yup pretty much as said above.

I know someone who had 3 5mm Leds drilled into his bumper each side for front indicators.

Scotty - did it pass an MOT like that or did he wire up some temp ones for the MOT day?

The MOT is soon and I have a few issues to deal with, I want the car 100% road legal without any 'changes' just for the MOT day, especially as the police are willing to stop modified cars and issue correction notices.

It did pass an MOT but he was a mechanic so cant vouch for the integraty of it. although he wasnt the tester

He never had any problems though and i believe as long as they are bright enough to be seen in day light you will be ok.
