    Camshaft sensor loom

    Fitting new camshaft sensor and loom to my car, the new loom has a thick black wire however the old one dosnt have this, what do i need to connect this to, as withotu connecting it, the car runs asif the sensor dosnt exist, is it just anm earth, what damage can it do testing whether it is or not?

    Ok left the black wire unplugged, and put the old sensor back in, seems to be runing okish... why is there two types of sensor where can i get the two different types from cheaply?
