    Hanging off the underside (pic inside)



    My guess is that it is either - something to deflect road debris from hitting (fuel tank??) the underside OR some sort of aerodynamic piece?

    Anyone know for sure, I think i clipped it on a kerb when i had 3 people in the back a few days ago, its being held on with 1 out of 3 nuts atm so could anyone shed any light on the size of the nut needed to replace the 2 that have disappeared

    looks like your exhaust heatshield mate, and the studs have probably sheared off.

    two of the nuts has come off thats all just put it back in place

    What size nuts do i need to fix it back on with? bashing it back on over the threads doesnt work, 10 miles down the motorway and its back again scraping down the fecking road, sounds atrocious

    I dont know what size best pop into the dealers an get them
    or pop one of the 3 nuts off the other side center one would be best then get some new nuts on

    Ah didnt realise there was another one on the other side, will have a gander when the car is next standing still when it isnt pissing it down with rain

    Yeah its a deflector to stop stones hitting the fuel tank and is held on by plastic huts.
