VXR (OPC) Air Intake pipe od a Vectra C Air intake pipe?

    Guys...
    After de-restricting the air box, what`s best intake mod D for a 2008 (mk5) 1.6 l (118hp) 3 door Astra?

    a) Vectra C intake pipe?
    b) VXR (OPC) intake pipe?

I`ve read alot about the Veccy C Intake pipe but then i stumbled upon a thread that says the same result can be achieved with a VXR intake pipe?

Is there a lot af difference between the intake pape fitted in my car and th VXR`s and which fits better?

    Thanx.

I have a Mk5 Sri and have recently fitted the Vxr intake pipe, it was a little tricky had to drop the rad down, but it was well worth it, imo it does seem to have made a noticable difference!

So..even the VXR pipe installation needs some hacksaw work ( thing i`d rather avoid) or it just fits with no problem at all?.

Sorry didnt make it very clear, it fits on perfectly but its quite tricky to position hence the reason you have to drop the rad down whilst you do it!

And you use it with an aftermarket panel filter alongside...not a cone one, right?
I`m replacing my cone filter with a panel one cause i felt a loss of power ater installing the K&N cone filter.
Afterwards, i read that panel filters are more recommendable for 16v Astra`s.

I've got the new 1.6vvt (118bhp) engine in my mk5 and I used the Vxr intake pipes
Took about 20 mins to remove old and fit new

I didnt do anything other than de-restrict the air box, then add the Vxr intake.
