Hi folks, just been on a long 200 mile journey and, as before, EML has thrown up loads of codes, but this time with two new ones.
first on list was 0230 - fuel pump
I had changed the fuel filter earlier in the day and to depressurise the system i pulled out the fuel pump relay and cranked the engine - could this have thrown up the code and so can i just ignore this?
next were the following which i've had before when travelling at 80mph for say 30mins. I thought i had solved this problem but obviously not:
1329 - knock contol cylinder 4
1327 - knock contol cylinder 2
1326 - knock contol cylinder 1
1328 - knock contol cylinder 3
0325 - knock sensor
..and lastly, the other new one, 0340 - camshaft sensor
Does this mean the camshaft sensor has gone or just that something else has triggered it?
Half way through the journey i stopped to fill up and then couldn't start the engine right away, seemed as though the engine was flooded as strong smell of petrol. But then tried again and started fine, and has done every time since.
The EML isn't on constantly, it only comes on when going at speed for some time, if i slow down for a bit to say 60mph then it'll stay on but then if i accelerate back up to 80mph it'll go off until i stop accelerating and then come back on again. Otherwise, when just driving around town, it won't come on at all.
One thing i've noticed recently is when driving around town for a while after a bit the idling goes a bit irratic and car judders at stand still. Trying to pull off is difficult and really need to rev hard to get going, otherwise seems as though going to stall. If i turn off the engine and start back up again, problem seems to go away.
Sorry to blabber on, would appreciate any advice, hopefully it's nothing serious as i need to get back home tonight!!
