    Opening a paypal Dispute

    Afternoon guys and girls,

Am having a bit of bother off another member on hear after i bought something off him and now he is refusing to give me my money back when i request it.

I bought the item off him on 13th June 2008 and he stated that he did not want to be messed around, fair enough, i said i'd buy the item and paid for it that same day. Now for the past two months i've been trying to contact him via PM on here and have also phoned him (with no answer) and i rarely get a reply to a pm.

I've now requested my money back and once again he has ignored me, i said to him that if he did not respond then i would either get the mods involved or open a paypal dispute. so i am, i believe i have been more than patient waiting over two months for the item and now i just want my money back. I dont wan't to name and shame the member as i believe he has been on here for quite a while but as i said, i will if i have to.

After all that, how do i open a paypal dispute?

If the member im talking about decides to respond to my messages would be nice and see if we can sort this out without going any further

    Cheers
    Sorry for the long post.

Or if you paid via credit card you may be able to get your bank to claim it back for you if Paypal can't.

Though apparently paypal can suspend your account if you do that.

    Who was it?

I have had a dispute going before, Paypal didnt do anything to my account. I was still free to use my account.

Maybe it depends on the circumstances?

Its the credit card chargeback that makes them disable it.

    Same here.

If they have no funds they give you the money and put his account into negative and start sending letters to get the money back from him.
