    Engine Transplant

What would be the biggest engine that could be squeezed in a MK4 Coupe?

Would the engine out of the Vectra Vxr squeeze in?

I know this sounds completely mad, but im thinking that i want to do something a bit extreme with it.

Which engine would be the more reliable for big power outputs?

Im thinking in the region of around the 500bhp mark.

If you want to start chasing 500bhp then you should think about 2 things 1) you will either need the talent of Pete or some very deep pockets & 2) there are better cars out with to go chasing 500bhp in.

I know its sounds completely insane what im thinking, and it will cost a shed load of money, but it would be different.

i wouldn't have thought a vectra vxr engine would be that difficult to fit for a skilled person. but it will surely cost alot. 500bhp would be abit pointless in a fwd car though if your gonna be using it regularly
