    Exclamation Killed my battery

Looks like too many stop starts and sitting in my new 1.7cdti's drained my battery after being sat around for several weeks!..
As it hasnt been driven enough between stop/starts this hasnt helped.

    So -
My ignition sort of comes on and no cranking at all now.
    Lights dim...

Should i disconnect the battery according to the manual and charge it and re-fit it, jump start it (id rather not becuse ive gotta wait a few days for a donor vehicle, my family and friends r away.)

    basiclly...
    Has any1 disconnected their battry
in an asta 1.7 cdti (mines an 07 sri xp with keyless and satnav) before, and what probs (if any) have you had when youve reconnected it all agen??

    Quick responses apreciated!

    Cheers! MorrisMan'91

Your best bet (and safest) is going to be to disconect it and charge it up.

Shouldn't be any trouble in removing it at all. Only concern will be if you have the factory fitted alarm and then all you need to do is switch the ignition on, off and then disconect it within a few seconds as stated in the owners handbook. Everything else will be fine

The siren will start going off and not stop until the batteries inside it are flat
