Unhappy MOT day and it passed

However the MOT station broke one of my ultra power bulbs as apparently they dont meet MOT requirements

My front brakes are very worn

My front anti-roll bar has play on a ball joint

And my backbox is falling apart

NOt a happy bunny, i paid for a full service and they've also not bothered with fuel filter or glow plugs

    Happy chap i'm not.

They phoned me and said that they thought the bulbs were too blue, i told them i still have the packet (which i do) and can take it to them to prove that they are legal. When i arrived they had swapped the dipped bulbs and sidelights and charged me for them (£8+VAT per bulb and £4+VAT for sidelights) then i showed them the packet and their reply was
"just because they are e marked and road legal doesn't mean they meet MOT requirement"

And that my bulbs were in my glove box, one is cleanly snapped in half and the other has had alot of the blue tint scraped off of it.

I'm not a happy person, added to the other advisories, i'm on the verge of thinking of selling and going GSi

brakes are an easy fix,and better than ploughing into the back of someone.

use the knackered backbox as a good excuse to get a stainless steel full sytem!

I was hoping it would breeze through the mot to be honest, i've pretty much stopped modifying my astra now as i was going to throw alot of money and time at building an XE or LET corsa B. However now i'm going to have to fork out for the astra It's so annoying when you think something is going to be so easy and straight forward and then it veers off course and crashes and burns

To be fair you don't change fuel filter at every service. And I have never changed glow plugs. Only every get changed when they fail.
