    Unhappy Traction Control light

    Hi can any 1 help,I have and astra sri 1.8 2002, my traction control light comes on when i start the car, and stays on. I was just wondering why this is happening, can i turn the traction control off? it does'nt seem to be working as i can wheel spin the car. Any ideas any 1 please.

    it could be the sensor m8

    best of getting a professional to have a look and get it diagonosed



    i had this a while back

    i had both the abs and the tc lights come and stay on

    they went off on there own accord and have stayed off (so im not to worried)
    i got it diagonstic checked and they said faulty sensor

    the only problem is the sensor has to be bought with the wheel hub so is chuffin expensive from vauxhall

    very glad mine is ok now (dunno how it cured itself tho)

    Might try cleaning the sensors first see if that works, worth a go.

    obvi more hands on than i am lol

    its on the hub somewhere lol

    has it been raining alot recently round ur way

    cos ive heard that alot of water can cause this problem

    no being female not very hands on lol but my dad is, yea living in wales and it has been raining alot recently, but even when we have a few fine days the light still comes on.

    im havin exactly the same prob with my sri, but the dealership cant seem to fix it, its been in twice now n gota go bk in on thursday again then friday 2 get body work fixed that they damaged, theyv had the car more than i hav!!!!
