    getting flashed since fitting HID's

I've just fittted 6000k HID's into my standard astra headlights but beam shape looks a little odd and spotty aslo every car I pass is flashing me. When getting out of car and look at them they seem increadably bright!

Anyone know why and can I adjust the angle of the beams?

Also does it matter what way the bulbs face, they have a white thing outside the glass does this need to point a certain way?

Have you had them adjusted? If not find yourself an MOT testing Station and ask them to adjust it for you may need to bung them a tenner

On my car there is a motorised beam adjuster, the control is next to the instrument light dimmer on the lower right side of the dash.
Have you got one and tried it?

Above post it will still need to be lined up whilst on the highest setting that the motors can go or he may not be able to see the hole road as one could be up and the other could be down

Also the beam adjuster does not seem to do anything anymore as far as I can tell.

Adjusting your lights with HID's is a common problem. If you open your bonnet and look on the top of your lights there is a tiny little rubber bung, if you remove this you'll see an allen key socket. This can move the beams up and down. HTH

I've had a line put on my garage door about suitable levels and where the car should be so as to adjust them if the lights are out.

Still doesn't alter the fact the standard headlight isnt designed to take a HID bulb so you beam patern could well be incorrect, then Mr Law inforcement officer will be bothered.
