    Carpeting

    I am making my own boot bulild and was wonderring whats the best way to fit the carpeting over the mdf and also the best place to buy it from?

    iwould like it in black to go with the car

    Best way to stick it to MFD is with spray glue that you should be able to get from any hard store. I guess you have changed other bits to black as it's not that colour as standard.

    Look how much it stood out on mine before I got the back seats done too

    Yeah as above looks better when it's all together and matching - there are normally loads on Ebay CLICKY and use spray glue that you use on house carpets but don't spray too much on or else it'll soak through the carpet and leave a white mark!!

    Also do the part you're going to see first so you get a nice finish (who care about the back if no one sees it and always do a dry run first to make sure you have enough and it's in the best posititon to make the most of it..

    Oh and a sharp knife makes the world of difference!!

    I used PVA for my custom fit sub box, I often find that sprayglue is fine initially but lacks longevity, the PVA is not going to let my carpet go anywhere. Sprayglue is instantly tacky though, so perhaps better for non-flat surfaces.

    no i havnt cahnged the seats or anything as i haev madea backwall for my subs to fit in.

    thanks but does anyone know where to buy the carpet n what i need?

    not online i mean buy it in the shops as i need it 2moro really

    A1 motorstores or halfords sell acoustic carpet,or have you got any fabric shops around you?sometimes they sell carpet materials.

    yep i alreayd found sum in halfords mums on er way to pik it up 2mz then got finish the system then its off to vaux to see whats rong with the piece of sh***.
