Is this a known problem on the ZLET?

Right then guys...i'll try to get straight to the point

basically every so often (happened 3 times in a month)

when coming to a stop - ie brake, clutch, neutral just as u coast for that final few yards or so the engine has stalled.... the first time i thought it was just my imagination, then the 2nd time got me thinking....it happened again on friday night and after a little research here and on google its looking like a common thing.

Ive noticed somewhere that the crank & camshaft sensors have been mentioned?

Its not the type of juddering/stalling u get with a coked up TB etc - seeing as its very erratic then Im assuming its something electrical such as a sensor.

On another note, I did the self test yesterday and got P0420 (precat o2) - no spanner lights but just randomly did it and it appeared (fault code wasnt stored a few days earlier)

Ive done a bit of research and someone mentioned their car stalls and they get this code so dont know if its maybe related or something entirely different.

I also read that this code sometimes comes up on models fitted with de-cats and sports cats. Ive got a decat precat & sports cat so this could be the reason.....could always mount the sensor a little further outwards in the boss to see if that stops the code kicking up....

In all honesty Im not bothered about the code unless it maybe is a reason why the car sometimes stalls when coming to a stop.

Can anyone shed some light on the situation?

Dont wanna lash out x amount on a new lambda when the sports cat could be the reason for a false code or even the 2nd lambda as sometimes this causes a false code.....

Would a dodgy lambda cause or could cause stalling???

Right i'll shutup now....but u get the idea hopefully!

I think i'm in a similar situation mate.
On occasions my revs will drop right down (especially when coasting with the clutch in) it has never stalled but they do drop very low. I also have a decat and sports cat and up until 3 weeks ago the engine management light would come on and bring up P0420 on my Scangauge, I'd would clear it but the light would come back on again after 50 miles or so. I'm also wondering if they're related too?

I've got no cats and I haven't had any trouble what so ever with sensors mate!!

Does it actually feel any different when driving it or is it only when it's idling?? If you start the car and let it tick over does if idle okay or die once it's warmed up??

Oil usage is nil. Engine rebuilt 2.5k ago. Last oil change 1.5k ago.

Car will idle perfectly, only ever happened when coasting to a stop.

I can easily clear the code so will do that tonight when i get in and see how things go.

Don't really want to replace the o2 sensor in case its not causing the problems. . .

Guess this is what its gonna be like from now on havin a ZLET lol

I'v ehad problems with the revs dipping, and when doing it the coolant module light comes on

I'm gettin rapidly sick of my car

In the past 2months i've replaced

coil pack twice (once not required)
    Plugs 3 times
    AFM 3times
    BCS
    turbo
    manifold
    actuator
    actuator sensor
    vacuum pipes

I'm getting extremely pissed off with the car, any more expensive problems and it'll see the wrong end of a mtach!!

Pah, happened on my non-Turbo in exactly the same way for months and months after I got the car new, you'd put the clutch in when approaching a stop and the engine would just die. Randomly too, just wish Vauxhall were better at telling their customers what they were doing to fix it, as they did, finally, fix the problem.
