    Service Books

Are MK5 service books the same as a MK4 one?

I have a MK4 Coupe and just wondering wether they would be ok to use one as it does'nt have a service History at the moment

How old is the vehicle? Have you tried contacting the previous owner about the service history and see if they have it.

You can get the service books, wallets and the leather covers on ebay, they arent that expensive.

havent we already had this conversation?

and didnt we already establish that the service book (whether a current mk5 spec one or a one from 10yrs ago) is still essentially just a book wish pages in that gets stamped at certain intervals????

Surely its irrelevant what age the book is - providing the stamps are correct and can be backed up with paperwork to prove ur not pulling a fast one

Stop worrying about something so minute....get a book - any will do - start ur service history that u seem so hooked up on - get it backed up with paperwork and forget about it
