    Argh interior fan HELP

Guys can any of you help the interior heater fan on my Astra G has a mind of its own. Some days it works fine others it does nothing then suddenly comes to life. I know other vehicles (Landrover Discovery) have problems with window lift ecu circuit boards failing and giving similar symtoms. Is the Astra the same or could it be and easier fix? Cheers for any advice.

when it stops, does it start up again if you fiddle with the fan speed control?

Mine did this once, turns out the connection at the back was a little dodgy. Taking it off and refitting it securely cured the problem

The blower motor itself can be a problem, probably with worn brushes which would also cause the issue you mention. Likewise the resistor pack that controls the speed could also be at fault
