    Pre Cat Pipe Sound ????

Ive just had mine done but it only seems to sound like a blowing sound/rasp from under the bonnet its got me all brand new gaskets used aswell, Ive had a few people press the throttle on and off and you can't really hear it with me face nearly touching the turbo lol, but you can when your in the drivers seat with window open. I cant find any leaks at all i'm stuck, are they meant to sound like this normally? when you plant it on boost I cant hear anything, its only when its stood still and blip the throttle a little. Could the precat still not be lined up correctly?

I say it's not lined up properly mate disconnect it from the main exhaust and then fit it It takes a while.

Just been out in it again and its doing my head in now, I'm gonna try refit it when its dry this week, i'll try another new gasket and if that don't work i'll fit it like danny said without one, hopefully that will work. Cheers

I've got a gasket on mine and mine is making the same rasping sound when you boot it. Let me know how you get on removing the gasket.

Do you get this when you're on the throttle or when you lift off? I'm getting this same problem but only when I lift off.

Problem Fixed Would just like to thank dannysport for the advice, just for everyone else I removed the gasket from the precat to turbo and refitted it using a jack to butt the exhaust up to the turbo and then tightent the clamp up and it sealed perfect first time, no more blow or rasp anymore.
