    Renewal premium

I changed my car to the Astra Coupe Turbo with about a month or so left on my existing policy. The amended policy price was about £480 a year.

Flux sent through my renewal quote and it now over £600...within about two months how can it go up so much???

I can't help but think they are just trying it on to get more money out of me...

Problem is, I was banned in 2004 for 6 months and it really limits my options. Although Direct Line gave me a competitive quote...and they do renewal price match too.

Any others been banned in the past and found good insurers?

    Just to update this.

AF came good in the end...

Turns out my amended premium was £580 not £480. Shows how much I pay attention when changing cars over lol.

I can now drive other cars,
I've had my limited mileage policy changed to unlimited,
I've added some extra mods to the policy,

And, the best part - AF still reduced my premium by £64.

    So now its £550

    I'm extremely happy with that!
