    Lower Front Mounted Intercooler

I was just curious to know, from regal sports, the Intercooler used in the phase upgrades.
Which mk5 astra models does it fit onto? Is it strictly the 2.0 Turbo and the Vxr?
Or would it fit on a 1.4-1.8 etc?
And does it give a rather good bhp boost?

Plus 1 more thing id like to add, if you were to add this to say.. the 1.9 Diesel sri? would their be a difference?
Or is it just petrol engines?

    Help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

NA engines don't have intercoolers, only turbos. So wouldn't make any difference to power on a normal car.

You can fit an intercooler to any engine, but if it's not got a turbo then it's totally pointless

Ahh, i was just wondering if it would give better airflow or anything to the engine?
Or would it just do nothing different? lol

It'll kill the airflow TBH, as you'd be increasing the inlet tract by about 10 fold, and all an NA engine's got to suck air in the the piston as it falls on the induction stroke

Oh ok then, i was just curious.
Ive just been trying to find ideas to make my car sound a bit better, and maybe boost the bhp slightly. I'll start with a new exhuast system and go from there.
    Cheers for replies
