They are division of Northrop who develop special aircraft for the US government.

Other than that it's a nickname some one used for thier cars rather than a tuning business.

As K3FUS said, the 'skunkworks' is a development facility for Lockheed Martin in the USA.

The Skunkworkz however is an unofficial name that represents a small amount of nicely styled and tuned vauxhalls who are pushing the scene and introducing new ideas. Maybe one day it'll become official, but until now its not worth us carrying out any work for other people as its not worth it with the problems with warranty etc...

That'll be my car your talking about

The spec of the car lists parts that i have made myself, the mirrors, front grill, rear bumper, rear lights, sil protectors and some engine components, have all been thought of and made by myself, hence i've then said they are 'skunkworkz' parts as aposed to off the shelf. You can't buy these parts, but as i've said to people before, if somebody decides to copy my ideas there's nothing i can do, i've seen some great copied parts and some real rubbish ones aswell. But for me to put my time and effort into making something that is currently a 1 off on my car and copying it for others, it then becomes unidividual and also too expensive.

If the numbers roll in one day then it'll be something that becomes official, until then its gonna have to stay as a small group of people with individually styled cars which keep pushing the different styles.
