The coolant warning light came up yesterday last week so I topped up some anti-freeze + water (first time since I bought the car 2 years ago) and all seemed fine. And this morning I checked and it has lost a little bit of coolant again And this got me very worried.
There isn't any wet patches on the floor or in the engine bay, or at least I cannot find any so far. There is some pressure when I undo the coolant cap.
There are two pipes on the top of the coolant tank - south and west. Only the west pipe has coolant coming out of it. The south pipe hasn't and is not hot. Is this right at all???
Also, I noticed the pipe between the turbo and the top/passenger-side of the radiator isn't as hot as other coolant pipes - it is only a bit warm. Is water going to the turbo at all???
The water pump was done about 4000 miles ago, and there isn't any noise from it. It is a VXR turbo and it isn't using any oil. There is no oil in the coolant tank. There is no mayo in the oil cap.
So any idea why am I losing coolant? And is the turbo getting any cooling at all? How do I find out?
