    Parrot Bluetooth car kit

    Any help will be great.

Just bought a parrot bluetooth car kit and having a problem.

I purchased an ISO adaptor so i would not need any wiring. However, the block that goes in the back of the cd30 stereo only has 1 12v power supply. This supply is permenant therefore my kit is unable to switch off.

what confuses me is my radio switches off when i take the key out. how is this possible if there is a permentant supply going to the radio. or have i missed something.

If anyone knows if there is a 12v ignition on the radio connectors please reply. if not where is the nearest ignition power supply that would be safe to use without blowing fuses.

    thanks

Does your adaptor lead not have a blue fly lead that needs to be connected to the ignition? The factory stereo turns on and off with the ignition on the can-bus circuit so the orange wire to the parrot needs to go to ignition. This can be picked up at the accessory socket on a spare black wire taped up and unused

Ok so your adaptor has a spare red wire instead of the blue I mentioned.

I said above where to connect this wire. It's on the accessory socket/ ciggy lighter in the front below the heater controls

another place u could pick it up from is the glovebox.

if u take the glovebox out and look at the white plastic that runs up the top with electrical tape on it. pull the wires down and hunt out the thickish black wire (only one there) and tap into that - its the main feed IGN +

Yes mate the spare black wire is ignition live. It's taped to the wiring for the accessory socket about 4 inches down. Really easy to find

I just got a Parrot specific cable that allows the 3200LS work off the back of the CD30.

I'm going to try it tomorrow and will report how well it works.

Currently I'm using the Parrot using the Audioleads steering wheel adaptor which breaks out to ISO.

that's prob the same lead as i bought. where did you get it from? like the above posts state. there is no ignition live on the radio. this needs to be routed from somewhere else.

autosparks, thanks for your assistance. will try that in the morning and let you know how i get off.
