    knocking insides of pre-cat out?

    Hey,

Short on money at the minute after just buying the astra... Any ideas on if it is a wise idea to take the pre-cat pipe off and knock the insides out of it?

The cat materials its self would be disposed of correctly and sold on!!!

Reason i ask is cant afford exhaust system or pre-cat pipe at minute.

My GSi is completely standard, bah a filter!

as sais aleady buddy... you can remove the insides but wont make any diff due to the inside being very restictive anyway (due to shape)

best bet is to save and get a precat m8ty

As said before you will not get anymore power and you can't knock it out as the cat has two rods that run through the middle of it that are welded to the outer casing, you will need to cut it open and then weld it back up but you will not gain any mileage doing it though
