    Z20LET + Turbo Timer???

    Hey,

New to using of turbo engines, im told after driving it your ment to really leave it running for maybe 30secs after use to allow oil to flow, or something im not to sure.

Say i do 5miles and its up to 90c temp, will it cause harm if i just turn the car straight off or is it ment to cool down prior?
    Same scenario however doing 50miles...

Does it cause harm driving and just switching straight off...?

I know that turbo timers allow the engine to run a little after its turned off, what is the main uhm purpose of these items?

Any specific ones recommended for Z20LET?

    Any details be great,

    Thanks

I usually have my timer set for 2 mins to let it cool down. I have a apexi turbo timer which I brought from Dannysport off here quite a while ago...its meant for Jap cars but it was pretty easy to wire in.

You should never just switch a turbo car off after a journey....the best advice I can give is always let it warm up before ragging it and the last few miles of the journey just take it easy and drive it off the boost.

Once you get to wherever your going just give it a minute or two before you shut it off to give it time to cool and for the oil etc to keep the turbo lubricated.
