    Question fitting non-vaux fitment alloys on mk4 GSI?

    hey anybody have experience fitting non vaux fitment alloys onto astra mk4 5stud....
    the wheels ive been looking at are :
    5/112
    offset 44mm
    8.5 x 18
    what mods would i need to do to fit these rims onto my gsi,what size rubber etc?
    appreciate anyones input,

    You should just need some wobbly bolts and they will go on.Make sure you can get spigot rings as well.

    8.5" width maybe a problem too.

    You'll want 215/35xR18 tyres on them.

    should be ok with a 215 tyre,running 8x17's on mine with 35mm offset and a 10mm spacer on the rear with no problem's.

    will a 215 tyre fit an 8.5" width wheel?
    i was thinking it would at least be a 225 which i hear causes probs....

    225mm will be too wide for a mk4. 8.5" is 215.9mm so the tyres will fit on the wheel fine, though may look a little stretched - which is good as will help with clearance and looks better

    What car are the wheels from, 5x112 8.5" sounds like a Merc wheel, though they are normally a lower offset.

    yeah its a merc split rim ive been looking at......any advice on where to purchase wobbly bolts and spigots ?

    Cheers mate. You can get wobbly bolts + wobbly locking bolts on eBay, about £30 for a set + £20 for the lockers IIRC

    Just need to know what size the OE bolts are.
