Is this the clutch switch ?

    Hi All,

I've just fitted a cruise stalk into my 56 Plate Astra 1.9 150 and thought I'd better check there is a clutch switch..
Can anyone tell me if the orangey/yellow thing in the photo is the switch ?
I can't actually get my head in there to have a look as the pedals are in the way so I just stuck my phone in the gap and took a photo of it!

If that isn't it, does anyone have a pic of what it looks like and where it is?

    Cheers!

I'm trying to work out if my 2007 1.8 vvt Sri has a clutch switch.
Took multiple photos under there but nothing jumping out at me that I recognize from the pics. There is a switch that looks very similar, but it is mounted differently? Is there only one switch, or presumably this could be for the brake/accelerator?

Or, can anyone say with any certainty whether the car will be fitted with one? I seem to recall reading that all VVTs were fitted?

    Thanks

clutch switch will be attached to a bracket in front of the clutch pedal....and will have a plunger that presses against clutch when its in the up position

brake switch believe it or not is the same prinicple but sits in front of the.....wait for it.....yup the brake pedal

its awkward to see but best if u lie on ya back in the footwell half in the car , half out and look up and you should be able to see

    Ah - sorted.
My mistake as I was looking for a switch that would be pressed when clutch pressed down, not one that would be pressed when the clutch was released.
For any other idiots like me out there that can't follow this, press the clutch fully down and take a photo/look at the FRONT of the clutch pedal, not underneath it.
    Then its really obvious

    Thanks for your help
