    I've snapped!!!!

    Hey guys

Ok so set off to drive to Leeds on sunday morning, window down as it was nice weather.......and as i'd got a little way from my house i heard a wierd tinkling sound from the rear of the car. Pulled into a services and had a peek under the car and found a coil and a half of my drivers side rear spring bouncing around at the bottom of the suspension mount!!

Safe to say i didn't go to Leeds in the end!

Now i'm wondering how much it'll cost to replace one spring? Or would i need to replace the lot.

Otherwise i guess it's an ok excuse to buy some lowered springs!

Springs should be replaced in pairs, so both front ones or rear ones etc.

But it is a good excuse to get lowering springs fitted

You should replace the pair, but as you say its a perfect excuse to get a set of lowering springs fitted.

I've never known springs snap until recently, my Mum's Mondeo, now my rear ones, now yours! Still, good way to explain lowered springs to my wife! And cheaper than OEM ones too

Anyone recommend some not too expensive springs? I noticed on LMF there's some kits for just over 200 with shocks included, sounds a bit cheap but I aint got much cash... any ideas welcome..

Eibach springs on their own get good comments here, about 120 ish per set of 4.

I went for Jamex at 60 delivered though some feel they are a bit on the harsh side...up to you really, if you can afford it then I'd say you won't go wrong with the 30/30 Eibachs.

My front ones went, have a spare pair of rear ones in my hut since I could only buy 4 off ebay and didn't need the back ones.
