Unhappy Cant find the gromit behind the fuse box tray :(

Im trying to run my positive cable for an amp through the gromit i have read about behind the fuse tray but i dont seem to be able to find it. Am i just being daft and blind? Heres a couple of pics ive taken. Its a 99 2.0 16V SRI (mk 4 i think? ill put a pic of it up anyway just in case) if it makes any difference. Cheers for any help in advance!

I also spotted a hole whoever had the car before me had made near the hinge of the passenger door through a palstic blank (pic below) can i run the positive cable down the passenger wing and through this or is that a bad idea? Where does it come out inside the car?

Cheers for any help in advance!

You have posted a picture (2nd pic) of the gromit.

Its the one with the throttle cable going through it, its only people who have the newer drive-by-wire engines that can use the gromit due to it being spare.

You are correct as well, its a MK4

There is no spare grommet on your car because you have a throttle cable, the spare grommet is on cars that have a electronic throttle pedal

If you are going to use one that has a cable going through it use the bonnet cable one as thats at least free of moving parts

It's the one on the far right in your 3rd picture

Thats the 1 i used. Put it around the door in the rubber strip and down the top sill thing behind the handle, cant get the seatbelt cover bit back on properly, theres a clip that is incredibly awkward but ill get some lads who no more than me to have a look tomorrow at work. I no it matters with speakers but does it matter if i run the RCA and power and remote cable all together down the same side for just a sub?

    Cheers for everything so far!
