    Waterstain marks after cleaning

Whenever i clean my car using turtle car wash, rinsing it off with a high pressure jetwash and then drying it with this leather coth i always seem to get left with water marks like drops.

    Anyone know why?

No Idea why you get stains mate, maybe a more experienced member will be along soon, but I use Megs NXT carwash, a Megs Waffle Weave towel to dry the car no smears on mine.

Maybe to do with the chamois you are using chap.

First of all, bin the 'leather thing' (a chamois) as they strip wax of of the paint, and when there's no wax left, then they'll have a go at the clearcoat. Get a decent waffleweave drying towel like a sonus der wunder.

The stains are easily explained. When you rinse with normal water, some spots dry on before you get to dry them with a cloth. The marks are caused by minerals in the water. There are 2 paths you can go down for this.

    1) Rinse the car using Reverse Osmosis water. It is completely free of minerals and won't leave watermarks on the car. You can buy it from most aquatics shops.

    2) when you dry, use a detailing spray as a drying aid. Spray it onto the surface then wipe over with a drying towel (not a chamios). That's what I do most of the time, and I never have any problems.

its better to sue a flood of water to rinse off and the weight of the water drags more off when it runs off if you know what i mean. best to use and open ended hose. use as a final rinse, the water will sheet off and not bead.

ditch the leather and get a waffle weave towel or similar. i sue a miracle drier from chemical guys. can do 2 cars without wringing out and its really soft so wont harm your paint. (do not use a blade to dry cos a bit of grit can get trapped and scratch the paint)

Ditch the leather as everyone says above. I use the same method as gaztd.

By polishing ontop of watermarks (ie deposited minerals) you'll cause swirls.
