Traction Control and ABS lights, cruise control broken

    Hi

My traction control and abs lights have been coming on whilst driving intermitently over the past 6 months. They appear to have been coming on more and more often recently until today when they came on as soon as I braked for the first time on all 4 journeys I made today.

The cruise control has also stopped working today, coincidence or are the two problems related??
I have checked the CC fuse and its fine.

Do you think it is best to take it to vauxhall and get it tech2'd or order a new N/S front hub and see if that solves the problem?

    Thanks in advance

    Tom

I'd say the problems are probably linked, get it checked out though before buying a new hub as it could be any of them

Not saying this will be the answer to this but give it a go anyway.

Anyone else think it could be that the brakelight switch is gone? All three are connected to this,

If it is then it's 30 mins max at the dealership and about £20 for the part maximum.

I don't think it could be a brake light switch, mine went recently and didn't give them faults

This will sound daft but this happened to me.

The t/c light came on after about 10mins of driving, regardless of braking. Cruise control wouldn't work, the front sidelights came on when i pressed the foot brake. My car spark ran the tester on it, the brake light switch was definitely faulty. It was replaced.

The same things happened again...turned out a wrong bulb had been inserted into the driver's side back lighting panel, because it's connected to the brake light switch all those problems occurred and were immediately fixed after the right bulb was inserted into the right place.

Sounds silly, but a small thing like that can cause so much unexpected hassle.
