This proves I have very little common sense but I think I have found out the hard way.
On sunday I filled my car up with oil drove the car down the road and all of a sudden it started kickout serious amounts of smoke...yes I put too much oil in! I pulled over immediatly and then went back to the car and drained the oil sump. The car smoked heavilly for about half hour I was trying to burn all the oil that was left in the exhaust through. I took the car out last night for a drive to burn off any extra oil.
As a result fo this the car now has a black spot when I accelerate it slightly jerks forward then kicks in. I am gutted about this i know it could be a number of things but don't know what exactly. I love the car and want to get it fixed properly its a astra coupe 2002 SE2. The slight blank spot could still be becasue there is oil in there so it could improve.
The plan now is too waint until my MOT in november then if it needs a new cat it will come up on the MOT. What do you think I don't want to cause anymore damage to the car what should I do?
