Well after months of planning and waiting Friday 4th July seen myself, 2DD Turbodave and Coo head off for the sunny sights of Northsheilds to catch the ferry over to Ijmuden.
19 hours, a shedload of alcohol and 4 hours of turbodave shouting "have ye seen the DJ, she has the best tits ever". We arrived in Ijmuden.
From thee is was a rather sedate drive up to Nurburg where upon arrival the kings of bling cracked on detailing their cars:
As we were arriving on Saturday an endurance race was ending after which there was meant to be some track time, unfortunatly by 7pm the track had not opened, with the we made a B-line for the bar.......I wouldnt say the resulting drinking session was heavy but a call had to go into the Bittburger factory that a night shift was required as we were running out and it was only 9pm.
Sunday was an open track for the full day which seen Coo go like a 5-year old thats been let rip in Toys R Us:
Master technician Coo tries to look like he knows what he;s doing whilst failing
Unfortunately the rest of the week was a bit hit or a miss with weather, and although the track was open most nights the ring in the wet is is shit scary and after doing a couple and having a Mini take out the barrier in front of me it was decided that sunny days are best.
As well as doing the track we also went for a couple of day trips, one being up to Russelheim to the Opel factory:
as well as going to Cologne to view the stunning architecture:
there was also the odd nice building or 2:
Some other random pictures from the trip:

We also went for a nose around the GM test centre:

There was also this sedate 5-door badged as a 1.6
However it was roll cage, had VXR front seats and ran what appeared to be full VXR running gear:
